Dann Glenn
Bio:
Jazz fusion guitarist/composer, Dann Glenn has amassed an impressive body of work, including sixteen solo CD’s; six of which are modern orchestral symphonies, and now as a published novelist, with the 2004 scorching novel, "ALMOST A PROVERB," (ISBN13: 978-1-4134-4833-7) and his second, “GOOD FRIENDS ARE HARD TO KILL,” to be published in 2010.
At this point in his career, Dann is completely focused on his guitar playing. Known to be an aficionado of the Strat, he has added the Lace Huntington to his arsenal, however is mesmerized and in love with the new Lace Maya HG03 Helix guitar.
Many new projects are slated in the coming times. DG has finished recording a CD entitled “Simple Harmonic Motion,” with legendary fretless bassist Percy Jones (Brand X) and Los Angeles drummer Walter Garces, in a band called “BangTower,” produced by Jon Pomplin.
Dann is also working on a new solo CD entitled, "Eleven Eleven," which will feature virtuoso Jeff Berlin on bass. NBC News has taped an interesting profile on DG’s career and music filmed March 6th, 2009. Also, DG appears in the motion picture "Johnnie Be Good The Movie," alongside Eric Clapton, Joe Perry, Bruce Hornsby, Bonnie Raitt, Bo Diddley, Steve Jordan, Buddy Guy, Malcolm McDowell, Lou Gossett Jr., and many more icons of music and film. Dann Glenn’s musical vision is limitless. As DG always says, “Too much linear thought…is bad for Art!”
“Don and Jeff Lace got it right, by developing the best pickups on the market…and then wrapping astonishingly innovative guitars and basses around them. The Lace Huntington is the lightest Strat-style guitar, I’ve ever played. Beautiful sustain and quiet as a mouse. Mine is one of the newest colors in purple burst, and it’s gorgeous! These guitars resonate beautifully, and the humbucker gives them some extra horsepower.
The Maya HG03 is off the hook on all levels; I mean absolutely breathtaking. The Helix line of instruments are the first truly original leap-forward the electric guitar has taken in years!
I know Don Sr. would be proud to see where his sons have taken his legacy.
