Rob Williams, "The Fenians"
Bio:
The Fenians are a group of musicians who enthrall the audience with their Irish music. The popular quintet based in Orange County, CA. wow their fans with a blend of their original creations, and contemporary and traditional songs. The band's music is definitely based on Celtic, but it has also been influenced by Rock, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, and World music. The talented members of Fenians compose powerful yet soothing music that is loved by all.
Rob Williams, who looks after the vocals and guitar is the muscle of the band. Together, Rob and the band, with their music and voices, represent the different facet and emotions of everyman - sweet and sorrowful; brave and beautiful; angry and amused.
Since the formation the band has gathered a striking list of activities and honors, headlining theaters and festivals across the U. S. and Ireland like the House of Blues (Hollywood), The Galaxy, and the Coach House (Orange County), The Milwaukee Irish Fest, Chicago Irish Fest (Gaelic Park), the Stonehill Irish Festival (Boston), and The Quays (Galway). The Fenians were officially entered into the Guinness Wall of Fame in the year 1999.
To date the band has come out with three albums ‘Live at the Harp' and ‘A Distant City Street' both did exceptionally well. Both the albums had original songs and signature arrangements of traditional Irish selections. In 1999 the band came out with its third album ‘Band of Rogues'. The album that was recorded live at the Galaxy Concert Theater featured five of The Fenians' own songs along with time-honored favorites. The band has released yet another album ‘Every Day's a Holiday'.
