In 1982, he moved to the United States, where he started playing at Disneyworld and Disneyland for approximately 8 years. During this time, he studied privately in Los Angeles with some of the top bass players, such as, Bunny Brunel and Gary Willis.

Since 1993, he has been touring with Luis Miguel, and has had the opportunity to travel and perform all around the world playing in such prestigious arenas as Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles, Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, Velez Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the World Expo in Sevilla and Vina del Mar in Chile, to name a few.

Lalo has recorded 2 live albums, 2 dvds and 6 studio albums with Luis Miguel. During that time he has had the opportunity to work with top studio musicians. They include Vinnie Calauta, John Robinson and Robbie Buchanan. During the span of his career, he has also performed/recorded with Christian Castro, Alejandro Sanz, Alexandre Pires, Crystal Lewis, Laura Pausini, Charlie Zaa and Alejandra Guzman. Lalo exclusively plays ESP basses (custom 6 strings). His style is unique and well rounded, in that he plays all types of music from jazz to funk. Currently, he is working on his first original project called “1st Try”, with the members of the NO-Pals and other special guests.
